About Station
Civil Court Underground Metro Station is an interchange Station. The station would allow passengers travelling from North-South corridor of metro line 1 to switch over to East-West corridor of elevated metro line 2 and PMRDA elevated line, which is planned to be developed in future. Network of connecting underground subways and foot over bridges would allow easy passenger movement within these two metro corridors. The site hasNyaymurtiRanade Path and Dengle Bridge road on two sides, Mutha River on third side and open land on fourth side. Civil Court Metro Station is constructed by Cut & Cover method. The station has a crossover towards Northern End which is constructed by NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method).
Line 1 and Line 2 meet at Civil Court Station, this interchange is planned to act as single station. The underground and elevated platforms would be connected by staircase, escalators and lifts.
